The Beatles - Yellow Submarine
I made this model almost a decade ago for 3d printing. At the time I could not find a decent practical model, so I freeze framed the movie and traced the outlines to find an average shape, from this I extrapolated a box model of the submarine. My intent was to sell them eventually but I didn't want to go though all of the paperwork for securing copyrights for Beatles merchandise. Still, it was a fun project to work on. I printed out a few for myself and some friends and they came out great, I'll try to find some photos of the prints!

Using the plans I'd made, I box modeled out the basic shape of the submarine.
Once the basic shape was finalized I smoothed out the mesh and added surface details.

Once the model was complete I created a quick texture in Photoshop to finish her off.
